What does 黑人抬棺 mean?

In spring 2020 the world met a team of Ghanaian pallbearers who dance while carrying coffins, and Chinese netizens filed them under 黑人抬棺, often captioned 专业团队 (professional team). Clips are cut so that the beat of Astronomia drops exactly when the coffin lifts, which turns the format into a verdict on someone's risky plan: go ahead, and the team will be visiting you. The joke flirts with the macabre but stays affectionate; the dancers are real funeral professionals, and the joy they bring to Ghanaian funerals is part of why the meme endures.

Where does 黑人抬棺 come from?

The footage originates from a 2017 BBC Africa report on Benjamin Aidoo, whose funeral company in Accra offers dancing pallbearers as a service. It resurfaced in early 2020 and went global during the first pandemic spring; on Chinese platforms the clip was retitled 黑人抬棺 and matched with the Astronomia drop and captions like 专业团队 or 抬棺警告. Through April and May 2020 it became the standard reply to a friend's dangerous idea, from electric scooter stunts to all-night gaming.
